The LOC-matic excavator tools are individually tailored to the specific requirements of each application. They are available in various designs and with flexible wear protection options, allowing customers to choose from all leading wear protection system manufacturers to optimally match the tools to their operational needs.
For our excavator buckets, special emphasis is placed on the free-cut design. In addition to excellent penetration and filling performance, they offer extremely high torsional rigidity, which is particularly advantageous in demanding rock excavation tasks.
The HD clamshell buckets of the ZX870/890 and EX1200 series are manufactured in collaboration with OEM partners. The specially developed “TS” design, based on practical operational data, provides demonstrable advantages in active deployment thanks to its optimized geometry, redesigned bottom section, and other improvements.
The HD ripper tooth is recognized as a highly effective tool for challenging working conditions and can also be supplied with various wear protection options to meet individual requirements.
The LOCMASTER (HD) excavator bucket was developed with the goal of achieving the performance of the next larger excavator class. The solution: a skeleton structure with a new bottom section and an innovative tooth and cutting-edge configuration – designed for maximum efficiency and wear resistance.
The first LOCMASTER for the 90t excavator class was tested and optimized in hard rock in 2022. Following successful deployments at Hartsteinwerk Loja, the series was expanded – several LOCMASTER buckets are now in operation, reducing loader cycles by 35–40% while maintaining nearly the same fuel consumption. In 2024, the HD version was introduced for extremely demanding applications, such as high-density kaolin or heavy-duty ripping tasks. This version focuses on tear and wear resistance, while also offering 15% more volume and a 3.5 t weight reduction compared to previous models.
